The core idea behind this residence was to create an “organic home” that merges seamlessly with its site. Inspired by the naturally undulating contours of the Arizona landscape, the design uses earth materials as both structure and sculptural form. This approach respects and enhances the natural topography while leveraging the thermal mass of earth to regulate the region’s extreme diurnal temperature variations, with winter lows reaching -20 °C.
